FROM THE WINEMAKER
"On the palate this wine is rich and velvety with flavours of wild blackberries and smoky biscuit dough. The tannins are broad, ripe and generous, yet the finish is fresh, lingering and leaves the impression of dark chocolate and rhubarb compote.
Grapes for this Shiraz are sourced from our growers in the Barossa Valley. The well ripened grapes are carefully de-stemmed and crushed to fermenters where they are macerated in a way to minimise extraction of hard tannins. All providing a rich and generous nose and mouthfeel. This is achieved with less vigorous maceration and lower fermentation temperatures."
The easy option is a classic - Steak. Enjoy with a thick rib-eye steak and roasted veggies.
JC SCORE 9/10
Barossa Shiraz. Hard to loose. Alluring dark chocolate and mocha a real winner.
