Despite being outrageously smashable, the Jazz Pinot Rose deserves to be savoured. Yes, when the sky is blue, the laughs are plentiful and the wine free flowing, it’s tempting to let loose. But the vibrant palate, zingy fruits and refreshing cut through make for a down right party in your mouth too.

Cutting his teeth at Yalumba winery for twenty years, former chief winemaker Simon Sorby Adams has decided to go off piste with his own venture. With intricate knowledge of Barossa and Eden Valley vineyards, there’s few who know how to make a ripper small batch bottle like Simon. Our two cents? Two cool-climate vineyards (with some vines first planted in 1932) plus a black book with the best growers in the Barossa sets Sorby Adams up to make some pretty mesmerising stuff, and they don’t disappoint.

"The Jazz Pinot Rosé is perfectly suited to the Australian lifestyle. They are refreshing...just right for a pick-me-up, and are an extremely versatile wine with food matching all manner of dishes with ease. Crisp and lively, this tasty rosé offers lifted aromas of raspberry, watermelon, lemon peel and apple blossom, leading to a vibrant palate that is light and refreshing. The wine is fabulously approachable and delightfully drinkable."

A wine like this is made for sharing, so grab a few bottles and get some sharing dishes going. Can handle the spice, so Chinese cuisine will work well. Or venture to Spain a tapas or grazing platter situation. Then it’s time to get stuck right in.
