The crunch of fresh snow, the crunch of a green apple and the acidic, complex crunch of this palest white. These are a few of our favourite things. Intensely juicy citrus, lemon grass and passionfruit will flood your mouth. It’s dry. It’s refreshing. On a sticky, hot day, it’s an absolute cracker.


These guys just do everything right. An innate understanding of their 80 acres in ‘winemaking nirvana’ Margaret River and a tight focus on small batch quality means they’re strides ahead of the big dogs when it comes to agility and flavour. It’s this clever clog kind of thinking that scoops up all sorts of awards (65 golds to be precise) including James Halliday's Winemaker of the Year 2019 for Julian Langworthy. They’re wines JH described as having balance ‘beyond compare’. Impressive stuff without a doubt.


‘The 2019 vintage was atypically cool, leading to wines with pristine natural acidity and clean, bright flavours. Reduced yields as a result of the season led to wines with lifted aromatics and concentrated flavour profiles. This wine is comprised of Semillon from the northern part of the region where it achieved full ripeness, and Sauvignon Blanc, from the very south of Margaret River where the most exuberant fruit was found.’


You’ll need something to match the crispy flavour explosion here. Scallops and chorizo, if you’re feeling so inclined. Or if it’s too humid to even contemplate cooking, load up a cheese platter with plenty of grapes on the side.
