There is plenty to discover
Rosé is in vogue and it is not just a passing trend. Globally its popularity has gone gang-busters and there is no place in the world that needs the cool, crisp and refreshing characteristics of Rosé more than the heat-soaked metropolis of Hong Kong. This is the first of many classy Australian Rosés that Wine Brothers will be filling your fridge with…
“It’s got Sangiovese written all over it, a bit rustic in the glass and unmistakable strawberry aromatics and plenty of grip as you work your way through the palate. The finish is where it all comes or goes with these styles and there's just enough bitterness and tannin to counter the fruit sweetness without pulling the corners of your mouth inwards. We all really like this wine, as much for what it is as for where we know we'll get to in the years ahead. This is the sort of wine I love to drink…and plenty of it"

In May we introduced Jess Hardy’s first vintage at LOOM (2012 Shiraz) to Hong Kong and it went Bang! In six weeks we sold out. We begged Jess for some more - it didn't exist (‘small-batch’ is more than just a catch-cry, it’s a harsh reality). Jess repeatedly assured us that the 2013 edition is even better: we tried it - we agreed. Wine Brothers is now the proud owner of all remaining Loom SV 2013 Shiraz (#exclusive) and we are pretty stoked about it!
“This is our second release of SV Shiraz, and whilst we're super proud of our first attempt, we have no hesitation in saying that we've taken another step forward in our aspiration to position this wine amongst the best of our region. Meticulous fruit selection at harvest ensured what we received in the winery was spot on for a soft and long fermentation in open vats. Lightly pressed, the free run was transferred to the finest French oak where it remained on lees for 14 months prior to bottling. This typical of the region Shiraz, grown just outside the McLaren Vale township, has a wonderful depth of flavour, bound with impeccable structure and a counter intuitive elegance. Suitable for long term cellaring, it will most likely be at its peak around 2018. I’m not even sure I made this wine, perfect fruit, amazing winery and the best oak money can buy….no brainer"
