Originally hailing from Sardinia, this variety has proven to be unwieldy vintage after vintage, which is exactly why it belongs with us here at Wine Brothers. Winemaker Sam Dunlevy has stopped trying to tame the "Verm" and has let it take on a life of its own. It won't be for everyone, but for those with an adventurous side, meet your new best friend.
Pinot Noir is the crowd pleaser, the fabulous all-rounder of red varieties. It certainly won’t overbear those unaccustomed to the ballsy Australian reds. Yet it won’t underwhelm for the seasoned Pinot Noir veteran. With a lighter disposition compared to the Shiraz’s and Cabernet Sauvignons, it ranks high in the drinkability stakes and will have you coming back for more.
The Long Yarn Pinot Noir is an easy drinking wine, with hints of vanilla and leather on the nose, and a dense crimson-ruby colour in the glass. The Winemaker Jess Hardy has crafted this light-bodied wine to harness the blackcurrant and black fruit flavours, whilst maintaining the smooth personality that is Pinot Noir. This wine pairs well with Asian cuisine, or just drink it on its own at a lazy Sunday picnic!
