Hugh is the fifth generation of the family that planted the first vineyards in South Australia in 1837, less than one year after European settlement of the colony. The Hamilton family are excited to celebrate 180 years of unbroken winemaking tradition in 2017.
As with all families one is a black sheep and Hugh Hamilton is it. His wines are far from ordinary. Hugh has a clear vision about the way he sees wines and he produces accordingly.
